Firefox death sentence threat to TeliaSonera over gov spy claims • The Register.

TeliaSonera (telecom services in Europe, Scandinavia, Central Asia) is alleged to be issuing SSL certs to dictators and authoritarian regimes in contradiction of Mozilla standards and may be black-listed by  Mozilla (Firefox).

It’s good to see Mozilla standing up for principle as these certs let spy sites look trusted but in fact are used to comb communications and dig up user information—to spy on citizens.
